Maximize Your Referral Connections

Do you ever get this from a client:
“I gave your name out to….”
This is my response:
“Awww, Thank you! If you’re comfortable doing a group introduction either via text or email or give me their contact information with their permission, that’s the best way to get us connected. A lot of times people don’t want to call a realtor, worried that they might get the sales pitch. Of course, they don’t know I’m not like that, but having their contact information I can gently reach out.  Regardless of how it turns out, it means the world to me that you would think of me!”
As you know, we have generous people in our database who refer us, but they often don’t know what it’s like to be an entrepreneur and how we need to be proactive in our approach. So we need to teach them. And this is a gentle reminder to do so.
It’s also an opportunity to connect, because regardless of how the referral turns out, the fact that somebody put their name to yours, means they’re on your team, the people who support you and think of you as “their agent“ and we should always honor the relationship first!
